Background and purpose of the assignment
We are looking for a Test Manager with extensive knowledge of and experience in the Nordic and European electrical systems, with a specific focus on Long-Term Capacity Calculation (LTCC) processes and methodologies. The test manager will play a key role in the regional governance for the Nordic CCM LTCC project implementation.
The task:
The LTCC regional project is established to implement the legal requirements for capacity calculation within the Nordic region. The project aims to deliver compliance with the FCA Guideline and relevant methodologies for Long-Term Capacity Calculations.
The primary focus of this assignment is supporting the implementation and testing of the LTCC process, until go-live and for the hyper care period. The test planning phase is ongoing and will require continuous updates and refinements until testing begins. The test manager will oversee and lead testing tasks as part of the LTCC project, ensuring readiness and compliance for all stakeholders. Note that the project has local test managers from each party involved and the regional test manager will be coordinating the overall plan and activities between these local test managers.
A Test Task Force is established, and the test manager will lead this group while executing tasks in collaboration with the team.
Tests must be coordinated with European stakeholders and structured into phases, including Functional Integration Testing (FIT), System Integration Testing (SIT), procedural tests, and Member Tests. The test manager should ideally have specific expertise in long-term capacity calculation processes and related testing practices.
This role requires an experienced test manager with the ability to proactively engage stakeholders, resolve resource challenges, and ensure timely delivery of results to the Steerco.
The Test Manager Will:
· Refine and update test plans throughout the project lifecycle.
· Coordinate with Nordic TSOs, RCCs, and ENTSO-E groups to align LTCC tests with European and Nordic testing plans.
· Ensure the availability of resources and escalate challenges to the SC if needed.
· Execute and oversee tests, track progress, and ensure follow-up actions after each phase.
· Provide regular updates to the Test Task Force and SC on test progress, readiness, and risks.
The test manager must demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to collaborate in complex stakeholder environments, and a results-driven approach to testing tasks.
Requirement

Test experience - proven ability to:
o Proven ability to conduct comprehensive testing, including functional (user acceptance, trial, etc.) and non-functional testing (performance, scalability).
o Experience in defining test cases, scripts, and runbooks tailored to LTCC processes.
o Capability to map requirements to test cases and ensure all regulatory and quality requirements are addressed.
o Track and resolve defects during testing phases, with adjustments to test plans as needed.
o Document test results, processes, and outcomes for reporting to the SC.

Experience with similar assignments in a Nordic Energy sector – prefererably experience working with:
o Nordic TSOs, RCCs, and ENTSO-E.

Proven experience in
- European regulation
o Expertise in FCA Guidelines and capacity calculation methodologies.

The role is a 40% allocation. The Customer uses 160 hours per month as full time. (2 days/week)
