Summary

The primary function of the Senior Mainframe Security Engineer is to maintain and enhance the security posture of the organization's IT infrastructure, specifically utilizing IBM Mainframe Z Series technology. This role is crucial for identifying potential security risks and developing effective strategies for remediation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular security assessments of the IBM Mainframe Z Series infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities.

  • Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Perform detailed assessments of security configurations to identify vulnerabilities.

  • Coordinate incident response and investigation relevant to IBM Mainframe Z Series.

  • Provide security guidance and support specific to IBM Mainframe Z Series.

  • Implement security controls for new systems and projects within this architecture.

  • Contribute to security awareness training for employees and contractors.

  • Proactively identify security threats and recommend actions to mitigate risks.

  • Stay updated on the latest security threats and recommend changes to enhance security posture.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in computer science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT security operations related to IBM Mainframe Z Series.

  • Expertise with IBM Mainframe security tools (e.g., RACF, zSecure, etc.).

  • Knowledge of IBM Mainframe security standards (e.g., z/OS Security, etc.).

  • Experience with RACF report building in zSecure.

  • Comprehension of IBM Mainframe Z Series network protocols and operating systems.

  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Administrator - Security z/OS) would be a plus.

  • Fluent in French and English mandatory.
