Summary
The primary function of the Senior Mainframe Security Engineer is to maintain and enhance the security posture of the organization's IT infrastructure, specifically utilizing IBM Mainframe Z Series technology. This role is crucial for identifying potential security risks and developing effective strategies for remediation.
Main Responsibilities:
Conduct regular security assessments of the IBM Mainframe Z Series infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities.
Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Perform detailed assessments of security configurations to identify vulnerabilities.
Coordinate incident response and investigation relevant to IBM Mainframe Z Series.
Provide security guidance and support specific to IBM Mainframe Z Series.
Implement security controls for new systems and projects within this architecture.
Contribute to security awareness training for employees and contractors.
Proactively identify security threats and recommend actions to mitigate risks.
Stay updated on the latest security threats and recommend changes to enhance security posture.
Key Requirements:
Proven expertise in computer science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT security operations related to IBM Mainframe Z Series.
Expertise with IBM Mainframe security tools (e.g., RACF, zSecure, etc.).
Knowledge of IBM Mainframe security standards (e.g., z/OS Security, etc.).
Experience with RACF report building in zSecure.
Comprehension of IBM Mainframe Z Series network protocols and operating systems.
Relevant security certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Administrator - Security z/OS) would be a plus.
Fluent in French and English mandatory.
