This is a hybrid role requiring both strong project leadership and practical execution capabilities. The ideal candidate combines traditional project management skills with a proactive “doer” mindset — someone who can not only identify critical actions, but also roll up their sleeves to execute them.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring a successful handover from SAP deployment to steady-state support within our multi-year, multi-site ERP transformation initiative. It requires close coordination with all project workstreams, the cutover/deployment team, IT support teams, and the global Service Desk to establish an efficient, ITIL-aligned support process. • Act as the bridge between the SAP project team and the AMS provider, managing expectations, workflows, and handover processes.

  • Define and operationalize key ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management in collaboration with the AMS partner and internal stakeholders.

  • Work closely with the Service Desk team to design and implement practical tools and templates, such as a structured incident intake form to ensure actionable tickets are passed to AMS.

  • a.) Example action: Not only identify the need for a Service Desk incident intake template, but also collaborate in creating it or create it independently using best practices.

  • Lead the work to define the responsibility boundaries between ERP program deliveries and AMS, i.e. who does development, release management etc.

  • Engage across all project workstreams to identify, capture, and organize handover content and support topics that are required post go-live.

  • Ensure a smooth and structured cutover to AMS support, partnering with the Cutover/Deployment team and key stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain the AMS transition plan, including resource alignment, process validation, knowledge transfer, and readiness assessments.

  • Manage risks, issues, and escalations related to AMS setup and transition.

  •  Foster a collaborative relationship with the AMS provider, ensuring service level expectations and quality standards are clearly communicated and met.

MUST HAVE:

- College or University degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

- 10+ years of IT Project Management experience, ideally in global or multi-regional environments.
Proven hands-on experience implementing SAP AMS support models, preferably with India-based outsourcing partners.

- Experience with SAP RISE service and roles and responsibilities needed to split support across SAP, IT, and AMS provider.

- Solid understanding of SAP S/4 HANA environments, including typical AMS support needs across modules.
Strong knowledge of ITIL framework, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Knowledge Management processes.

- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across business, technical, and vendor teams.

- Comfortable working at both strategic and tactical levels – able to lead planning while also executing deliverables.

- Experience working closely with Cutover/Deploy teams and participating in transition-to-support phases of ERP projects.

- Ability to take ownership of deliverables – from planning to execution – including documentation, process development, and stakeholder alignment.

- Fluent in English
NICE TO HAVE:
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-starter with a ”get-it-done” attitude who can work independently and in teams.

  • Excellent collaboration skills with ability to lead effective group sessions both in person and remotely
Strong written and spoken language skills in English.
