Summary
The role of a Mainframe Developer focuses on enhancing the existing financial systems by developing, testing, and maintaining applications using mainframe technologies. The primary objective is to ensure seamless data management in security trading, providing reliable and efficient operational support within the financial sector.
Main Responsibilities
Development, testing, technical design, and technical analysis of stories and bugs found or reported to the team.
Supporting the testing process with troubleshooting and fixing bugs.
Operation and maintenance of existing solutions.
Refining new stories, evaluating technical feasibility and design.
Key Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in mainframe development with languages such as Cobol or PL/1.
Experience in Cobol, CICS, DB2, JCL, SQL, IDz/RDz with a focus on unit testing.
Experience with agile/scrum methodologies.
Ability to translate feature descriptions into user stories.
High proficiency in English, both written and oral.
Self-driven and proactive attitude.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of the financial sector.
Experience with Git/BitBucket, JIRA, APIs, or Java.
